Between 11 May – 22 June 2002, Kevin Sanders and his wife, Julia (as a passenger) circumnavigated the world on a motorcycle, a distance of 19,461 miles (31,319 km) in a time of 19 days. 8 hours and 25 minutes. The husband and wife team also hold the Trans-America record (Alaska – Ushuaia). Starting at Deadhorse, Prudhoe Bay in Alaska, they travelled a distance of 17,000 miles (27,358 km) in 35 days to finish in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina.
