The world record for collecting and recycling metal crown caps has been initiated by Ingo Petermeier (Germany) in 2016.
With the help of a large number of supporters from Germany and the Netherlands, a total of 32.85 tonnes (i.e. 16.5 mio caps) has been recycled.
The collection raised 2880 Euro for the Felix Burda Foundation to fight bowel cancer.
